The Fisher-Price Record Player, known formally as the Fisher-Price Change-A-Record Music Box, was first introduced in 1971. As a part of the larger Fisher-Price family, this player quickly gained popularity among young children and parents for its durability and educational value.
This toy was designed to mimic the function of a real record player, allowing children to play ‘DJ’ by placing any one of the five double-sided plastic records onto the deck. Each record contained a classic nursery rhyme or melody, and the players came with a handy storage slot at the front, where the records could be kept when not in use.
