“My husband: “does the tub need to be replaced?” me: “nah, i got it.” we’re fixing up a 1926 farm home! it’s been sitting empty for a few months and the barn cats got in.
gross but nothing that can’t be handled with some elbow grease and the right products. bathroom is one step closer to looking brand new and SO much money saved ![]()
edit to add: here’s what i did! i scooped out as much as i could with a shovel (wearing PPE) and was able to get 95% out that way. i sprayed the tub with oven cleaner and let it sit to loosen what was left up, and scooped it out as well. i then sprayed the tub with dawn power wash and scrubbed and sprayed clean with the shower head.cleaned again with odoban to disinfect. went in with pink stuff and scrub daddy for soap scumand then finished up with scouring stick, with the surface and scouring stick both WET. it took about 3 hours total including time for products to sit and work!tub was full of cat feces but thankfully they didn’t go anywhere else
